One of the first collaborations with the Chinese Landscape Company OUDG, this project required an intervention consisting of both the building and the modeling of territory.
Situated 25km west of Shanghai Songjian is a town built around a University and serves as a financial area and rest area from the density lifestyle of the mother city.
The client’s requirements are somewhat cryptic, demanding an entrance to the financial district that dialogued with a Germanic-style urbanization across the road whilst accentuating the millenarian spirit of the area, both historic and contemporary, strong and subtle, a perfect dichotomy.
